Job Summary

The Lawrence J. Ellison Institute is seeking a talented and passionate Project Manager to join its Special Project team. As part of the Ellison Institute, Special Projects is responsible for real estate efforts, external collaborations and partnerships, and operations of the Institute. The Institute is made up of a diverse group of innovative and talented professionals who work in a fast-paced environment that provides ongoing support to research projects, patient care, lab research and administrative operations.

The Project Manager role is responsible for performing the following job duties: 

Job Accountabilities:

Primary Real Estate Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts related to property site selection, including liaising with local market experts as well as on-site and/or remote analysis
  • Lead due diligence efforts for sites in consideration of acquisition
  • Assist with real estate acquisition efforts, including coordinating with internal/external counsel, leadership, and other related parties
  • Assist with the design, planning, and construction related to real estate development opportunities
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project budgets & schedules
  • Develop and foster effective relationships internally and externally, including all third parties.
  • Travel may be required

Other Responsibilities                 

  • Assist in ongoing collaborations requiring project management efforts which may include structuring partnerships and agreements, liaising with external vendors, and furthering efforts with in-house counsel
  • Assist in certain operational requirements for the Institute, which may include process improvements
  • Work with project teams and stakeholders to plan, execute, monitor, and control projects.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Minimum Experience: 5 years

Minimum Field of Expertise: Real Estate, Project Management


Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Community Development, or Business, or in a related field.

Preferred Experience: 7 years

Preferred Field of Expertise: Real Estate, Project Management


Salary:  $111,000-$140,000
