Job Summary

The Lawrence J. Ellison Institute is seeking a talented and passionate Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its team. As part of the Ellison Institute, the Facilities Team is responsible for ongoing operations of the facility as a whole and supports staff and management directly The Institute is made up of a diverse group of innovative and talented professionals who work in a fast-paced environment that provides ongoing support to research projects, patient care, lab research and administrative operations.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing the following job duties:

Job Accountabilities:

  • ​​​​​​​Supports maintenance of EITM by performing various duties such as furniture moves, spot painting and/or cleaning, light construction, assembly and/or exterior cleanup.
  • Assists with maintaining daily operations of the physical facility.
  • Works with outside contractors on building and non-systems-based equipment repairs.
  • Operates site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools as necessary.
  • May perform other activities related to physical facility evaluations, ongoing preventative maintenance, and daily building checks.
  • May maintain documentation such as power diagrams, network diagram, space usage, etc. Should be able to communicate effectively in English via email/Slack.
  • Must be able to service tickets via EITM ticketing system related to position as assigned by manager.
  • Must be able to work 10a-6pm typically.



Minimum Education: High School Degree or equivalent

Minimum Experience: 1 year

Preferred Education: High School Diploma

Preferred Experience: 2 years


Salary: $26.25 - $28.00
