Registered Nurse, Oncology

To accomplish this, the Institute offers multifaceted programs, including a cancer center, cross-disciplinary research laboratories, a health policy think-tank, and community outreach and educational opportunities.
The cancer center is comprised of a dedicated and passionate team of two physicians, two nurses, and two physician assistants, who provide individualized, high-quality care to a low volume of patients while aiming to advance the prevention and care of cancer through the latest biomedical research, personalized medicine, and clinical trials.
Individual will be responsible for delivering nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology and wellness patients in an ambulatory setting. The individual will provide skilled nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, intravenous infusions, and investigational drugs. Job responsibilities include venipuncture, screening tests, health/patient education, immunization administration, patient assessment, preparation and administration of chemotherapeutic agents, vascular access device management, skill with infusion pumps, and participation in research. This individual will possess the following attributes:

- Strong organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in computer-based medical record retrieval (Epic preferred).
- Ability to work (4) 10 hour shifts each week
oncology experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting is preferred
- Current California RN license & CPR certified
- Current knowledge of Oncology Practice
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate required
- Excellent IV skills
- Competency in vascular access device management
- OCN certification preferred
Salary: $51.47 - $67.39/hr. DOE
